Recently, myself and another local sports fan have been broadcasting UVa-Wise games on 106.3 fm. Starting Friday, they are putting us on for 90 minutes a week to discuss local sports, UVa-Wise, and national sports. We plan to have coaches, players, and sports writers from the area and across the state come on for interviews. Each week we will have a trivia question with prizes and a player of the week award which will be given to a local athlete. Listeners can call in and ask questions to spark discussions (please be civil). The show is 3:30-5:00 p.m. on Fridays, you can also catch UVa-Wise Athletics on 106.3 f.m. Our guests this week will be UVa-Wise softball coach Tori Raby-Gentry who will be previewing their softball season. The Cavs' are coming off a trip to the NAIA World Series. Also, J.J. Kelly girls basketball coach Robin Dotson will be stopping by to discuss the LPD Girls Tournament, his team, and possible changes to the regional basketball qualification plan.
